American ModusLink opening new location in the Netherlands

American supply chain and logistics services provider ModusLink is opening a new operation in Venray, in the southern province of Limburg (Netherlands), to serve its European customers. The new operation will offer employment for approx. 500 people.

Besides Venray, ModusLink also considered locations in the Czech Republic, Germany and other regions in the Netherlands. Venray turned out to be the preferred option due to its strong logistics cluster, the ideal country border location with rail, road and water connections, but also because of possibilities for expansion in the future. ModusLink will be starting with 15,000 sqm and is looking to be operational by July 2013.

Throughout the location decision process, ModusLink was jointly supported by project managers from Holland International Distribution Council (NDL/HIDC), Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) and regional development agency for Limburg LIOF, as well as the city of Venray and the province of Limburg.
