Last Thursday evening CEO Hans Brouwer from MassiveMusic won the Amsterdam Business Award 2011. The Award was presented by the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce President Fluitman Age. Brouwer’s company MassiveMusic got the highest ratings from a six-member jury in terms of innovation, sustainability, footprint, vision, strategy, entrepreneurship, commitment and productivity. MassiveMusic left the two other contenders ID&T and IQCreative behind. During a special Award Ceremony dinner at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam the winner was announced. At the event three hundred successful local entrepreneurs were present and the ceremony dinner was opened by Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan.
The companies that joined this year competition showed once again that the city of Amsterdam is filled with true business sense and genuine entrepreneurship. During the awards ceremony jury member Nico Perdaan from Jan ©Accountants told the attendants that he considered it to be a privilege to visit all three shortlisted companies. The Winner MassiveMusic was chosen based on the unique combination of professionalism and creativity. Hans Brouwer is within the Amsterdam creative industry a true ambassador for the city. Hans was responsible for bringing some creative companies to the city of Amsterdam and founded the Club of 12, a unique group of top-notch Ambassadors from Amsterdam’s creative sector. In addition, MassiveMusic has a particularly robust and financial management and business model.
The other two nominees were CEO Duncan Stutterheim from ID&T (a Dutch entertainment and medium enterprise that successfully franchised the Sensation White dance event in 17 different countries) and CEO Bert van der Leden from IQCreative (a holding company that manages the Dutch founded and franchised Supperclub restaurant chain, as well as other restaurants in Amsterdam such as Envy, Vyne, Nevy and Nomads). Brouwer: “I am very proud of this great prize, it’s a sign that MassiveMusic is doing the right things. It is extra special to win this award with such strong competitors such as IQcreative and ID&T. We are prouder than ever, as an Amsterdam company.”
