Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren was voted Best Global DJ at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami on Thursday night.

Armin won 2 IDM Awards, nominated in 6 different categories and winner of 4 Awards last year, Armin van Buuren is on top of all things. The year has only just started, yet the Dutchman has already been able to add new achievements to his list. One of them was the Gouden Harp, the highest distinction a Dutch artist can get. The number one DJ in the renowned DJ Mag Top 100 won 2 International Dance Music Awards.

Last year, Armin received the ‘Best European DJ’ award for his ever-flaming enthusiasm and energy he beams on stage, plus his flawless mixing and way he captures the crowds all across Europe. But it’s not just that continent he pleases, it’s the whole world that scream for more Armin gigs. Proof of that, is the ‘upgrade’ to ‘Best Global DJ’.

On the 2nd of October, 2007, Armin started his very own A State of Trance podcast. To be sure every fan gets their upgrade in trance, Armin weekly selects the 5 highlights of his radioshow and features them in his ASOT Podcast. A quick way to stay updated on the latest trance and progressive releases.
A little less than 3 years later, the A State of Trance Podcast has won nothing less than the International Dance Music Award for ‘Best Podcast’!

Armada Music, the label that Armin co-owns and releases his music, won the award for ‘Best Global Record Label’ for the second year in a row.
