Chinese entrepreneurs in the Netherlands no longer see much future in the traditional Chinese-Indian cuisine. Therefore many of them are switching to the Japanese cuisine, which is very popular among young people.
“The past three years 50 Chinese Japanese restaurants have been opened,” said Li Ping Lin Sector Manager of Royal Horeca Netherlands in the Dutch newspaper.
The Chinese restaurants are not as popular as before in the Netherlands. Perhaps this is because there are so many of them.
Horeca Netherlands estimates that there are 2000 traditional Chinese restaurants.
There are not many Japanese restaurants in the Netherlands. In Amsterdam, for example, there are 115 Chinese restaurants and 35 Japanese.
