Decline Dutch private sector investments less substantial

The volume of Dutch private sector investments in tangible fixed assets was 2.9 percent down in September 2013 from September 2012 according to figures released by Statistics Netherlands.

The decline was less substantial than in August, when private sector investments were 4.6 percent down from one year previously. September is the third month in a row, in which the decline in private sector investments became smaller.

September 2013 had one working day more than September 2012. Figures on private sector investments have not been adjusted for the effect of the number of working days.

By means of six indicators, the Investment Radar shows whether circumstances for Dutch private sector investments have improved or deteriorated. According to the Investment Radar, the investment climate has improved in November 2013.
