Dutch pessimistic for children’s future

Many Dutch people are pessimistic for the future of their children. Most of the population aren’t confident or are just somewhat confident their children will have better lives than they have, after years of increasing prosperity.

Since World War II this has not occurred, according to a annual national confidence research by Blauw Research commissioned by consultancy & samhoud.

There is a major shift, for the first time that the new generation of teenagers has much less favorable prospects. “We can not seem to give our children what we have had ourselves.”
