Dutch prime-minister Mark Rutte will visit Obama

Dutch prime-minister Mark Rutte will visit US President Barack Obama on Tuesday November 29th. He will be accompanied by Dutch Secretary of State Uri Rosenthal. On the agenda are the economic ties between the two countries, the handling of the debt crisis, the present situation in the Arab world and the NATO summit which will take place in Chicago in 2012.

The cooperation between the Netherlands and the United States covers a broad array of topics. 625,000 American jobs are the result of the economic ties between the two countries. The Netherlands is the third largest investor in the USA and its ninth largest export partner. The Netherlands is also the number one destination for American Foreign Direct Investment.
