Dutch Week Shanghai 2012

Dutch Week Shanghai 2012

This year embarks 40 years of diplomatic relations between The Netherlands and China. In 1972 The Netherlands was first represented in China at the level of ambassador and to celebrate this diplomatic anniversary we are organizing several activities throughout China. From 22nd until 27th of April the Dutch business community in Shanghai and the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands present: ‘Dutch Week Shanghai 2012’.

During this six day event, each day the focus will lay on a different key sector playing a crucial role in the economic relation between The Netherlands and China, emphasizing ties with the city of Shanghai. Numerous seminars, conferences and themed roundtables will be organized.

Some examples of activities being organized during the week are the following. A seminar discussing “Intelligent Logistics”; experts throughout the logistics value chain from both the Netherlands and China exchange their views on governance, high-tech developments and ICT solutions. On another day the focus will shift to the creative industry where attention will be given to Dutch entrepreneurs active in the Chinese creative industry. Many more activities are organized such as an evening for Chinese students who have studied in The Netherlands and a movie festival screening renowned and lesser known Dutch cinema.
