Dutch Firefighters will visit all homes in the Netherlands

All households in the Netherlands will receive an invitation from the Dutch Fire Department for an inspection.

The residents will receive advice and tips regarding issues such as the misuse of power strips or the lack of fire detectors.

The action is part of the campaign “The firefighters of tomorrow” which was presented on Wednesday by the Dutch Association for Disaster and fire service.

Within a few years, all households will be asked for an inspection. In some parts of the country smoke detectors will be distributed with home visits.

The association also has plans to involve the furniture companies, which should just as in England and the United States make furniture safer in-case of fire.
