First Gorillaz Concert in The Netherlands

The British band Gorillaz will give a concert at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam on Monday, November 15th.

That was announced by bassist Murdoc Niccals yesterday evening in an interview via Twitter with Dutch DJ Michiel Veenstra from 3FM.

It is the first Gorillaz concert in The Netherlands. The show is part of their Escape To Plastic Beach Tour.

During the live show, Damon Albarn, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and the Gorillaz band will perform hits from all three albums (Gorillaz, Demon Days Beach and Plastic). The show includes the entire production, video animation, illustrations and film designed by Jamie Hewlett.

Special guests are not yet known, but Plastic Beach features a number of collaborations with other musicians and music groups such as; De La Soul, Roses Gabor, Bobby Womack, Little Dragon, Mos Def, Kano, Bashy and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

Plastic Beach is the third studio album by English virtual band Gorillaz, released 3 March 2010. Damon Albarn got the idea for Plastic Beach while on a beach next to his house: “I was just looking for all the plastic within the sand”, he said.

Tickets for the concert are on sale starting Friday, June 4 at 10:00.
