Breda celebrates the 22nd edition of the Harley-Day on Sunday, August 15, 2010 in Breda.
The Netherlands has several Harley-Days, but the one in Breda is the biggest. What started with a few hundred bikes near the church, has become a major (free) event with international allure, with about 12,000 riders, including 9000’s Harley’s. Last year there were 110,000 visitors. The theme “Harley Day Breda Goes West” will transform the city of Breda this year in a Wild West atmosphere.
With cowboys, Indians, horses, a rodeo bull and children’s attractions at Kasteelplein, a cowboy and Indian village with dance and music in the port, pony rides for children, wagons, straw bales, saloons and Western Music.
The main attraction are the Harley Davidson motor bikes with over one hundred biker stands, Motor football, the Harley-Davidson classic show and the Tommie’s stunt on Buttermilk Road.
There are nine venues in the city with musical performances, witch start all ready on Saterday night. On Sunday noon performances start at various venues, including Mike & The Mellowtones, The Saddletramps and Tripwire.
