A Dutchman is very happy with his iPhone. When the man was parked on the side of the road in Rotterdam he got caught in a crossfire.
A stray bullet went through his jacket and would have seriously injured or killed him, had he not happened to have his iPhone in his breast pocket. The iPhone stopped the bullet, saving his life.
The man was shot five times. Four bullets missed their target and the fifth pierced the iPhone. The man drove home after the incident, where his wife called the emergency service. He was immediately taken to the hospital for observation, which turned out that the iPhone stopped the bullet and saved the man’s life.
The victim has now returned home and the phone has received a special place in his house.
Police are still looking for a suspect. The public prosecutor offers up to Euro 10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
