Killzone 3 goes Gold, Releases February in Europe

Killzone 3 comes out in Europe on February 25. The development of the game recently went gold, meaning the game has finished. This announced the official European PlayStation Blog.

Killzone 3 is a first-person shooter developed by the Dutch developer Guerrilla. In this third part, the battle between mankind and the extraterrestrial Helghast will be more violent than ever.

Killzone 3 will come in three different editions. The game appears in a standard edition, but also come to also release two special editions: the Helghast and Edtion Steelbook Collector’s Edition.

The single issue in a steel book packages and comes with a Playstation Network code that all weapons and skills during the first 24 hours of playing the multiplayer mode unlocks. The Helghast Edition will include a replica of the helmet of a Helghast soldier contain.

Picking up right where Killzone 2 left off, you return to the role of ISA Sgt. “Sev” Sevchenko. Beaten, bloody but not broken you and your fellow ISA veterans find yourself outnumbered and isolated following the events of Killzone 2. New enemies, new environments and new threats wait for you as the story for survival unfolds.

Add in 3D support including online, split-screen co-op campaign, and full Move support, which can be be played with or without the new sharp shooter peripheral.
