Learning dutch in the heart of London

The Dutch Centre, a cultural centre aiming to develop and promote Dutch culture in the UK, will be offering Dutch language courses for people working in the City of London. The 10-week courses will be organised during lunch and after work and will enable participants to hold day-to-day conversations with friends and colleagues. The Dutch Centre will be organising the courses in cooperation with University College London (UCL). All courses will start on 9 and 10 September and will be taught in small groups by qualified and experienced teachers. A free taster session will take place on September 3rd.

The courses are offered on three levels. There are two beginners levels (A1 and A2) and one intermediate level (B1). Conversations in the beginners classes will focus on exchanging personal information, talking about spare time and making appointments, while students in the intermediate class will also learn how to debate and give their views on current affairs. On all three levels attention will be paid to pronunciation, grammar and spelling. In addition, participants will gain an understanding of the differences in (business) culture and language use in Flanders and the Netherlands.

To get a feel for what the courses will be like and to meet the teachers, there is an opportunity to join a FREE taster session on 3 September from 12.30 – 2pm. The taster session will include a free lunch.
