Summer is a great time to relax with a good book and a cup of coffee on cool summer night. This summer we have selected two new books as our books of the month and this time the honors went to Glenn Cooper’s debut “Library Of The Dead” and Stuart MacBride’s “Flesh House”.. Be sure to check out these titles:
Cooper’s debut “Library Of The Dead” may at first strike you as just another FBI thriller, however it soon becomes apparent that the plot goes quite a bit deeper. The writer switches between past and present, and by doing so, he keeps the story moving at a brisk pace. I am now halfway through the book and have to say that Cooper does a tremendous job of bringing the main character, FBI Agent Will Piper, to life. “Library Of The Dead” comes highly recommended not only to anyone who enjoyed our last book of the month “The Last Oracle” by James Rollins, “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown, but also to anyone that enjoys a nail biting detective.
Library of the Dead is now available at the store for Euro 7,95.
MacBride’s “Flesh House” is the fourth thriller featuring Detective Sergeant Logan McRae. The action takes place in Aberdeen. Some 20 years ago, the Grampian police nailed a vicious serial killer known as The Flesher. Through a legal appeal he has been put back out onto the streets, and when a container with human body parts appears at Aberdeen harbour, it looks like the stage is once again set for carnage on a massive scale. MacBride is one of the up and coming names in the crime genre and has already made quite a name for himself with his ferocious writing style. In our opinion he definitely deserves to be put in the spotlight.
Flesh House is now available at the store for Euro 8,95.
