Luxury hotel rooms getting cheaper

Hotel Rooms in Dutch four-and five-star hotels are becoming cheaper. This is evident from a research by the consultancy KPMG which was published Wednesday.

The price of a room in a five star hotel fell last year to 201 Euros. In 2008 such a room costs 231 Euros. A room in a four-star hotel was 87 euro last year, compared with 95 Euros in 2008.

The hotel industry saw an average occupancy rate last year, a further decline to 62.5 %, down 5 percent compared to 2008.
