Michael Kors opens first store in Amsterdam

American fashion designer Michael Kors opens his first store in Amsterdam on Thursday.

The opening of the store takes place during the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. The shop is located in the famous Amsterdam PC Hooftstraat. The new store is 230 square meters.

“Michael Kors has strong and expanding global recognition as a brand that embodies the jet-set luxury lifestyle the consumers aspire to,” Chief Executive John Idol said. “We believe that we are uniquely positioned to continue to build our global luxury lifestyle brand and that we have a tremendous opportunity for growth world-wide.”

A month ago it was announced that Michael Kors first-quarter net income nearly tripled thanks to newly opened stores and strong demand for luxury clothing and accessories.
