Avalon-Chanel Weyzig third in Miss World Cup election

The Dutch Avalon-Chanel Weyzig has become third in the Miss World Cup 2010 competition. The 20-year-old Weyzig had to compete for the title in Rust, Germany against 31 other contestants. The 32 beauties represented the 32 participating countries of the Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa, which starts next week.

The winner was the 17-year-old Jennifer Scherman, who represented Argentina, followed by Katerina Giannoglou (28) on behalf of Greece. It was the second edition of the Miss World Cup. To mark the 2006 World Cup in Germany was first elected a Miss football.

Avalon-Chanel Weyzig was born in Zwolle, Netherlands and is a model and the 2009 Miss Universe Netherlands winner. She has competed in Miss Universe 2009 in August and the Miss World 2009 that was held in South Africa in December.

During this event, the American boy group “Varsity Fanclub” performed on stage. In the USA, they already were support band of Rihanna and the Pussycat Dolls.
