Naomi Campbell may not be photographed on the street

Naomi Campbell may not be photographed on the street of Holland without her permission. The British supermodel will be in Leidschendam the Netherlands coming Thursday, to testify against Charles Taylor.

That is what the judges ordered in the trial for war crimes against the former president of Liberia.

”There are legitimate reasons for concern for Mrs. Campbell’s security and privacy for its public reputation and the extremely intense media attention for her testimony,”said the judges of the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL).

Campbell, who first did not want to come to the Netherlands to witness and then was summoned under threat of imprisonment, had asked herself for protective measures.

SCSL-Chief Prosecutor Brenda Hollis the complainant wants Campbell to testify that she has received a so-called blood diamond from Taylor.
