Prince will perform at North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands this year. That has confirmed festival organizer Mojo today.
The program of the North Sea Jazz Festival expands with three extra plus concerts. On all days Prince will be the closing headline act in the Maas hall. Every night the musical multi-talent from Minneapolis will bring a different show, including his big hits. Besides plus concert tickets that are only valid with a regular festival ticket, separate tickets will also be available.
Prince is and will be a unique artist with his funky riffs and intriguing personality. During his concert in the Gelredome last year the extraordinary musical genius once again proved his musical excellence. He worked in the past together with famous musicians like Miles Davis, James Brown and Alicia Keys. He also worked together with Larry Graham, Esperanza Spalding, Chaka Khan and Janelle Monáe, artists that will also perfom at the North Sea Jazz Festival this year.
The North Sea Jazz Festival has developed into a major international jazz event. Visitors numbers varies between sixty-five thousand and seventy thousand every year.
North Sea Jazz is known all over the world because of the many musical genres it has to offer, ranging from traditional New Orleans jazz, swing, bop, free jazz, fusion, avant-garde jazz and electronic jazz; to blues, gospel, funk, soul, R&B, hip hop, world beat and Latin. All of which are presented during the second weekend in July.
