RIM reveales new BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Pearl 3G

Research in Motion reveiled two new BlackBerrys today — the Bold 9700-a-like BlackBerry Bold 9650 and the BlackBerry Pearl 3G.

Unlike older BlackBerrys, both the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G offer a range of connectivity options, with 3G and Wi-Fi used in both phones. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is similar to the popular BlackBerry Bold 9700.

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G offers a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, the Suretype keyboard and 3G connectivity. Interestingly, the Pearl 3G also features the new “N” Wi-Fi standard, offering better range than the BlackBerry Bold 9650 when used with Wi-Fi n networks. This only serves to reiterate how closely related the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is to the Bold 9700.

The new phones are for sale in the United States starting next month. If and when they come to Europe, is unknown.
