Snoop Dogg comes back to the Netherlands

American rapper Snoop Dogg comes back to the Netherlands for two gigs. On Monday, June 28, the hip-hop artist will perform in Amsterdam at the Melkweg (Milky Way).

Snoop Dogg will be also be on stage at the outdoor festival Parkpop in the Hague on Sunday, June 27.

The rapper will come with a full live band this time. Snoop Dogg gave two performances last year in the Netherlands, in Utrecht Tivoli concert hall and the club in Rotterdam.

Also singer-songwriter Nick Lowe, ska band Ska Cubano and funk group Choc Quibe Town are planned for the free event Parkpop in The Hague.

Parkpop celebrates its 30th anniversary. The organization is one of the largest free pop festivals in Europe. Last year it attracted 275,000 visitors to the Hague musical Zuiderpark.

Snoop Dogg got his name from his mother who jokingly remarked that he looked like the Peanuts character Snoopy. Snoop is known primarily for his achievements in the music industry, as a gangsta MC.

Snoop’s latest album, Malice N Wonderland came out in December. The presale for the show starts Wednesday, April 7 at 10:00.
