S&P warns the Netherlands and other Triple-A Euro Nations Of Possible Downgrade

Ratings firm Standard & Poor’s has warned The Netherlands and five other top-rated euro zone countries that they risk losing their AAA rating in the next 90 days as the region’s debt crisis deepens, the Financial Times reported on Monday.

The news, which hasn’t been confirmed by S&P, hit stock markets hard, taking the steam out of a broad rally. The Dow Jones Industrial average fell 100 points off session highs after news of the potential European downgrade became public.
