Millionaire hit by 1 million Euro speed fine

A Swiss millionaire has been hit with a record speeding fine of 1 million Euro.

The man was reportedly caught driving a Mercedes SLS AMG at 290km/h through a Swiss village, where 120 is allowed.

The Swiss police did not hesitate and arrested the speed offender. The fine? 1 million Euros.

The Swiss law calculates the penalty based on the amount of income. Presumably someone is a very wealthy.

The old record was 200,000 Euros. Then the driver was caught driving a red Ferrari Testarossa at 137km/h.
