Spielberg buys superyacht in the Netherlands

The world famous American film director Steven Spielberg in the Netherlands bought a new boat, worth up to 150 million Euros.

The director, known for hit movies like Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and Jaws, picked up his new boat at shipyard Oceanco in Alblasserdam, a few weeks ago.

The yacht the Seven Seas is 86 meters long and will cost 150 million Euros. Oceanco has signed a contract in which he undertook not to make statements about the buyer.

Insiders now know to announce that Spielberg personally pick up his new ship in Alblasserdam and that the actual transfer took place at sea in the presence of a notary. The ship went on course to the Mediterranean. It will sail under the flag of the Cayman Islands. Spielberg was very pleased with his new asset.

People, who have visited the superyacht, The Seven Seas, praise the high quality of workmanship and special technical equipment on board. The ship has a private helicopter deck in the shape of the bottom of one of the two pools on board. According to an ingenious system the pool runs empty when the helicopter approaches, then the bottom moves upwards, and a landing platform for helicopter appears. Also, the ship has a ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ cinema, so Spielberg can watch movies while he swims.

The interior is dominated by walnut, teak and rosewood. The space of the dining room, which can be converted to a disco is 250 square meters.

Spielberg can carry twelve guests, though he himself has a private deck with a study room and a lounge. The ship has 26 crewmembers.

Spielberg, the Seven Seas will also charter the superyacht for 1 million per week.
