Can Sports Commercials make you eat less?
Research by the Dutch University Wageningen has shown that especially sport Commercials play a big role in eating behavior.
During the research, participants got to see different ads that they had to evaluate.
Half of the commercials were neutral about insurance, cars or household appliances. The other group was shown Sports Commercials.
Afterwards the participants were offered lunch. The results were clear. Those who watched Sports Commercials ate less food.
The effect was mainly measured with overweight people. According to the researchers is the fact that heavier people generally do not like sports.
After confronting them with healthy images of the sport commercial, overweight people ate less food.
Also seeing a muscular body may encourage you with extra motivation to lose weight.
