Street Photography Workshop with renowned photographer David Gibson

David Gibson, one of the ‘world’s leading street photographers’ – as featured in Street Photography Now – and one of the founding members of iN-PUBLiC, the international street photographers’ collective, will be leading a 3-day street photography workshop in Amsterdam on Friday, June 1st through Sunday, June 3rd, 2012.

The workshop, to be held at the American Book Center’s ‘Treehouse’ – along with guided photo shoots on the streets of Amsterdam – will cover the history, meaning and aesthetics of street photography, a very popular genre that is best defined as ‘the drama on the streets, and the relationship between people and their environment’.

While the emphasis will be on set assignments and constructive feedback, the aim of the workshop is to provide inspiration, by looking at great street photographs and working first-hand with one of today’s most well-regarded street photographers.

Who is it for?
The 3-day workshop is for anyone with an interest in photography and particularly street photography. It is for both amateurs and more advanced photographers who might already be familiar with the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Garry Winogrand and Alex Webb.

Workshop specifics
