The Dutch dancer Niek Traa will play a role in the British 3D dance movie Streetdance 2.

It is the first major film role for the 23-year old hip hopper from Eindhoven, better known by his stage name “Just do it”.

The Dutch dancer has been tapped to join the cast of the film “StreetDance 2,” starring with some big names in international dance world. The lead played by the Algerian “Sofia Boutella”, one of the main dancers of Madonna during her Confessions tour and Sticky and Sweet.

With rehearsals now complete, filming is set to start on June 6th 2011 on Streetdance 2 3D, the highly anticipated follow-up to Streetdance 3D.

The film will shoot on location throughout Europe, including London, Paris, Rome and Berlin over the next 3 months.

Streetdance 2 sees the return of favourites from the first film, including George Sampson, who won over audiences with his portrayal of cheeky chappie Eddie, and dance troupe Flawless reprise their role as dance crew The Surge.

George comments “I’m very excited about working on StreetDance 2 3D, the film is going to be totally amazing. I’m looking forward to playing Eddie again especially as I have more of a central role – I’ll be showcasing some spectacular moves. I also can’t wait to be filming all over Europe in some incredible locations.”

The filmmakers have also announced the casting of Falk Hentschel and Sofia Boutella.

Streetdance 3D 2 is scheduled for release in 2012.
