Amsterdam: where creative ideas come to life
Amsterdam is one of the top 5 creative cities in the world, alongside giants like London, New York and Los Angeles. Global campaigns developed and realised for renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft’s Xbox, Heineken’s Amstel lager and the Discovery Channel are frequently conducted from the Amsterdam Area. They are being served by leading advertising companies that have set up shop here, such as Wieden+Kennedy, 180, KesselsKramer and Amsterdam Worldwide.
Fast forward in the film industry
The fact that the Amsterdam Area is home to many influential advertising companies certainly has positive effects on the development of new television shows. And despite the effects of the recession, gaming looks set to remain an important growth centre for years to come in the burgeoning creative industry in and around Amsterdam.
Data published by the international media research company Eurodata illustrates that Amsterdam is emerging as a leading location for the development of television formats. Amsterdam-based media producers such as Eyeworks, Endemol and BlazHoffski develop formats that are being watched by billions of viewers all over the world.
