V3 Systems Opens EMEA Office in The Netherlands

In order to support the growing demand for its Strato line of appliances, desktop virtualization company, V3 Systems (www.v3sys.com), announced the opening of its EMEA office in Amsterdam, Netherlands; appointing Ton Welling as Managing Director of EMEA. Welling will head operations in EMEA including sales, channel development, and customer and technical support.

“Following the launch of the Strato line of appliances, we have received an overwhelming surge in interest for our products in the EMEA region, specifically Europe,” said V3 Systems’ CEO Peter Bookman. “With the opening of this office we will be able to better support our customers’ and resellers’ needs in the region from both a technical and service perspective.”

Welling brings 15 years of sales experience to V3 Systems in the EMEA region. Prior to joining V3 Systems, Welling was the Benelux Region Manager at Data Domain, where he helped build and lead the company’s most successful regional sales division until it was acquired by EMC in 2009.

“We’re excited to bring Ton on board to head our EMEA operations,” added Bookman. “Ton has a proven track record of building successful sales and marketing programs and plays an integral part of our strategic expansion.”

The Strato Series includes five pre-configured, drop-in appliances that support between 50-400 virtual desktops on a single appliance. The Strato eliminates racks of servers, network, and storage devices that are needed to integrate, deploy and manage a VDI environment while reducing energy costs associated with traditional desktops.
