Waylon on tour with Whitney Houston

The Dutch soul singer Waylon will be on tour with Whitney Houston this summer.

This is great news for Waylon and said it is a great honor. Waylon will perform the opening act for Whitney on her English, Irish and Scottish tour, so that is a big thing.

Unfortunately two of Waylon’s concerts in the Netherlands will be rescheduled because of the new developments. But he promised the concerts will be great. Waylon will be very busy with six performances in the O2 Arena in London!”

Waylon is the first Dutch solo artist who signed a contract with the American record label Motown.

His debut album Wicked Ways was produced by Martin Terefe and Sacha Skarbek, who previously worked with singers James Morrison and Jason Mraz. Waylon wrote many songs with the music producers and session musicians and then worked four months on his debut album in London. Ultimately the CD came via Universal to Motown.

Waylon received national fame when he participated in the TV talent show “Holland’s Got Talent”. Waylon gave a very impressive interpretation of “It’s a Mans World ‘by James Brown.

Waylon and his crew members will leave next week to Great Britain for the preparations.

Waylon is now back in the Netherlands after Dublin and London opening for the superstar.

Chances are that Waylon will also do the opening of Whitney Houston in Antwerp and Paris, the singer just tweeted.
