Dutch Wealthiest Are Getting Richer

The world’s richest people are getting back much of the wealth they lost.

The annual census of business magazine Quote, published the popular list of 500 richest Dutch people in the Netherlands on Wednesday.

According to the report, the total financial wealth of this group increased by 6.6 percent on average, with an increase of 8.4 billion euros, while in 2009 there was still a decrease of 12.3 percent.

The average rich Dutchman is a male living in a wealthy enclave at home or abroad with a fortune of 271 million euros.

Only 21 women rank in the Quote 500, alone or with their spouse.

The five hundred richest Dutch billionaires are good for a total fortune of 135.6 billion euros. That is 6.6 percent more than one year earlier, according to the annual Fortune 500, which will be presented Wednesday in Amsterdam.

2. Family Van der Vorm, HAL investment vehicle, 4.3 billion euros

3. Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken, Heineken brewery heir, 3.8 billion euros
