People often thinks that women are more sociable, friendly and helpful than men. But those stereotypes seem to be wrong.

Now, researchers at the Vrije University (VU) in Amsterdam have found that men and women are equally cooperative.

Typical for a social dilemma is that individuals must choose between personal and collective interests.

There is no difference between how women and men deal with these social dilemmas, says VU researcher Daniel Balliet.
